Is there incentive pay with fl dept of corrections for u.s. veterans? if so how can i find details?

I was told this for the State of Florida, not sure about other states. FL No, not incentive pay. There is preferential hiring for certain veterans and spouses of veterans providing you meet all other qualifications.

Why do we call prisons: Correctional Facilities?

There is certainly no CORRECTING going on in there. The few who DID leave a better person did on their own will. So what’s with the euphemism? We changed the name because of political correctness. This political correctness is a cancer in our society without a cure.
