Should all the photos of Abu Ghraib be published?
Why or why not?
We’ve all seen pictures of Abu Ghraib . Do we really need more pictures to get the idea?

Could be used a recruiting tool. And they have no benefit in being released. The truth has been admitted, words get the message across to those who truly care. Pictures have only use in propaganda,

Why bother ??? We already KNOW what they’re Of. And they would just end up being Used by the Terrorist Groups in the Middle East- to whip up their Supporters against Our Troops in Iraq & Afghanistan… And do we REALLY need any more Suicide Bombers volunteering- to kill Our Soldiers ??!

No. And I can’t believe it was even considered at this time. We are still in a war with these people, and I would hate to be taken prisoner by the enemy after they had just watched how we were torturing their soldiers. It does absolutely no good to show the world one of the more sinister sides of war. The US should just make the statement that we no longer use cruel and unusual methods to obtain information. I cannot believe what a huge mistake this administration has made by allowing such sensitive information to be even considered for public viewing. The politicians turning the screws to make each other look bad are seriously compromising national security, not to mention the treatment of our own troops fighting on the front lines. Politicians in favor of showing this information should be sent to the war, and have to fear the consequences of being captured like all our troops over there right now.

Abu Ghraib is old news. the people involved have already been tried and sent to prison. As bad as it was it certainly wasn’t torture as some in the media call it. It was humiliation. Weren’t all of the pictures published and what would be the point of publishing them today?

Difficult one!!
What is needed is complete and severe action against all those involved rather than publication of the photos.
Publishing the photos would be likely to provoke a backlash which would almost certainly result in more deaths and hamper the peace process. So the best aansweris to ensure justice is clearly seen to be done in punishing severely those responsible!!
