I know someone who is supposed to be serving a 20 day sentence in a county jail in Ohio. He went in on the 15th of this month. However, his facebook and aim were signed in to. Do the inmates get time to use a computer?

I hope they don’t. They don’t deserve privileges.

I have the impression that children exposed to biblical indoctrination don’t learn to critically analyze their’s and others’ actions, and therefore don’t develop a healthy sense of moral values that isn’t based on the dictating of a dictator. This leaves them with no depth in their understanding of morality, since after all, their morality has no solid foundation. These religious people could ultimately become a danger to society if their worldview shatters and their understanding of consequences is shallow. I believe this is the reason why most prison inmates in America are Christian.

It’s true that christians arent overrepresented in American prisons, but shouldnt they be underrepresented? They do stand on soapboxes telling everyone else how to live their lives. Why are atheists underrepresented? The facts are in direct contradiction to christian claims.

what are good programs for inmates who are in jail to participate in that will assist the inmates in their reintegration into society?? any ideas??

How often are the inmates in the Bay County Jail in Panama City Florida allowed to make calls?

I am a couple counties over from you and they are allowed to make calls as long as it’s not lockdown and as long as they have money on their phone card. I cant give you a good answer for your county because it is run by a private company.

If inmates receive an education while serving prison time, what benefits will they face upon release from prison? Will they be able to obtain an entry level job without discrimination? Will they ultimately return to prison because of lack of jobs?

It indicates to a potential employer that although the person made a mistake, they are doing something constructive attempting to get their life back on track. Education also enlightens the inmate as to alternate means of receiving assistance rather than resulting to crime.

I would really like to find a sight that has current up-to date info on the cdcr early release of non-violent offenders, does anyone know any? And what do you think of inmates who are non-violent non-sex offenders being released early?

It is a work in progress as individual cases are taken into account. This is not something like a blanket provision.
