How much does it cost to build a Correctional Facility?

I need to know the estimated cost to build an 8000 sq ft Correctional Facility. If you have any information as to where I can find this please let me know. Thank you.

Any major engineering/construction company can give you an idea but to be honest way to many things go into such a project. Not to mention an 8000 sq ft facility is tiny for that kind of project or are you looking for something for the baby and your hubby LOL.

I don’t do big construction projects, but I would figure roughly 2 to 4 million when it’s all done

Last years RS Means lists jails at $239 a sq ft. land not included.
typical size 40,000 sq ft

8000 sq ft x 239 = $ 1,912,000

Save some money and use prison labor
