He won't likely be in a state prison unless his case was turned over to another agency for prosecution. Sometimes, if the feds are too busy to take a case or it doesn't meet their minimum guidelines, they will ask the state, county, or local law enforcement agencies if they want to prosecute it.

Call the Port of Entry where he was arrested, if you know which one it was. If you know the state where he was entering to, call all of them.

You can find the contact info for the POE here...
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/ports/

They may be able to help you.

You can also call the Bureau of Prisons to see if he is in Federal Custody.

My advice, wash your hands of this person. If you lay down with dogs, you get fleas.

Depends on which side of the border they were arrested on. If the US side- most likely the arresting authority was either the Border Patrol or ICE. If the Mexican side- the Mexican police have your friend & I really feel sorry for your friend. Mexican jails are a living nightmare. You can lay in your cell and wake up screaming only to realize you weren't asleep.
References :
Should we now give phony birth certificates to all illegal aliens if a woman can get one to say she's a man?

The perpetually pregnant man has a vagina. Therefore it's a woman. But she has bullied the system into giving her a phony birth certificate that says she's male when in fact she's just a very confused lesbian female with boobs chopped off and sometimes on testosterone but often not who thinks that her denying she's female makes it so.

I think she's paved the way for anyone who wants a phony birth certificate.

Canadians do you hear? Mexicans are you with me? You can bully the system too! Phony birth certificates for all I say! If it's good for that woman, heck it's good for anyone else who wants to bully the system!

Heck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEE SAY PUEDE!!!

I say phony birth certificates for all illegal aliens to say they're born this side of the border!
