What would you like to ask?Does the mississippi department of corrections require all offenders on parole and?
I have a friend who claims he is on felony probation for sale of a controlled substance. He has been on probation for some time now and claims he has been contacted by his probation officer to submit to dna testing, Is he telling the truth about this, or is there more to his story?
Federal Probation Officers have started requiring offenders to submit to DNA testing for the offenses of murder, voluntary manslaughter, enslavement, kidnapping, robbery, burglary, incest, and arson.
Also, judges do occasionally order DNA testing as part of a youth offenders probation, but to my knowledge, this has not become an overall common practice for any particular state. You don’t mention your friends age, so can’t give you a definitive answer. However, if he is on federal probation or classified as a youth offender, he may be telling the truth.
