Arrested for violation of probation due to incarceration of traffic violations. Time length before arraignment?
My son was arrested for violation of probation due to incarceration of traffic violations. He has been in jail going on two weeks in Dekalb County. What can I do to expedite an arraignment for violation probation on his behalf. He has a job, goes to college and has a small child. He is definitley not a threat to anyone. Please advise.
You need to contact his attorney – since he is already sentenced and (was) released on probation – he is under the jurisdiction of the court, and only the proper motions can get the matter back on the court’s docket. Believe me – the court will be in no hurry to hear your son’s case. Probation violations are "violations" of the court’s order – and viewed very dimly by the judge.
