Can I get back supprt reduced because of prison incarceration?
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in the California State Prison System. I find that I owe a lot of back child supprt. I am trying to straighten my life out, but with this enormous debt, it puts me in a diverse situation. Is there any way to get the back support reduced because of my incarceration?, and what can I do about wage garnish? I don’t want to go back to prison for failure to pay.
no
What is a "diverse situation"? You mean adverse?
Second, you still owe the child support, the fact you were in jail is irrelevant. Good luck.

the only way to stop child support is when the child turns 18 .or if you were to die .other then those two reasons it will still increase and unless you pay the monthly minimum you will be ok .my brother owed about 24k in back support and his ex took him to court and rather then jail time he was put on 10yrs of probation .i would suggest you pay every cent you can .if its just the minimum or if its more to try to pay down the past due amount .either case good luck to you and try not to feel defeated

You cannot reduce or eliminate back child support. You were supposed to file for a modification when you went in. There are numerous websites that help incarcerated parents do this; in addition you had access to a legal library.
You can do nothing about the garnishment for child support.
If you owe over %k , that is a federal misdemeancr , and if you owe over 10K it is a federal fel;ony. To avoid being charged with criminal failure to support, keep that garnishment, as it goes to prove you are trying to pay.
All I can suggest is a second job.
