You were supposed to file for a modification when you went in. There are numerous websites that help incarcerated parents do this; in addition you had access to a legal library. You can do nothing about the garnishment for child support. If you owe over %k , that is a federal misdemeancr , and if you owe over 10K it is a federal fel;ony. To avoid being charged with criminal failure to support, keep that garnishment, as it goes to prove you are trying to pay.
