How do Americans make Judges accountable for their Decisions? Such as wrongful incarceration?

Is the Judge guilty of a Tort if he sends the wrong man to prison?

Since a judge isn’t the one who decides guilt, even if there was a possible tort for this, he wouldn’t be the one responsible.

In general, all actions a judge takes in his/her official capacity are protected by immunity, both criminal and civil.
