I believe that death isnt the proper punishment…you end the criminals life but was he truly punished…I feel the answer is no…and in this guys case I feel he is truly out of his mind and should be put in a mental health facilty.

He would have to be crazy. He would have passed out from the pain if he was ‘normal’. He could have been sane when he murdered his family but turned insane from the guilt while in prison?
I would think a serious mental evaluation would be needed before standing trial, and a deep background investigation.
