What is life in a prison is like for a typical inmate and why? How would one adjust to living in prison?
What do you think would be your major issues as an inmate and why?
Honestly it depends on what kind of prison. My bf was in a low security prison which was an open dorm and had plenty of people to talk to and interact with. There are more politics in there then out here. There are rules to follow depending on what side you’re on. Its lonely because you don’t have the people to love, but for some they have no family and they enjoy the prison life. When hes in a 2 man cell they end up either becoming best friends or hating each other. They share stories and food. Its a thing that you just have to adjust. You end up finding someone that teaches you the way around. It sucks its no life for a person.
I imagine it’s mostly boring. You’re locked in a cell for most of the day with nothing to do. Your toilet is in your cell, so you’re visible to a lot of people while you’re crapping. My major issue would be having a cell mate who took a liking to me, if you know what I mean.

Well Prison is a hard cold lonely place and only the fittest survive’ and you always have to watch your back seriously and mind your own business’ and if you see someone getting stabbed or beat down’ you have to walk away even though your insides are crying…Many young men is prison get abused and taken advantage of as there young and naive and think your cell mate is a friend as you live in a cell together’ and it’s wrong. He is just like the rest in there’ looking out for him’ and him only. You usually have to get a friend who watches your back as you watch his or hers’ and it’s the same for women as it is for men in the joint and i know as i have done time 4 times. The only way you can really make it is to forget about the outside and the places you went and the friends you had’ as most will be history now your locked down.Another is to do your own time’ and mind your Business’ and respect.People kill in there for respect’ and disrespect . hope this helped.
