When an inmate is processed into a TDCJ facility, do they perform blood work on the inmates?

If a new inmate is processed in and they find out that he/she is positive for Syphilis, how is the other partner informed of this if they live in another city so they can be tested? Does it go through a computor to a healthcare facility for them to followup on?

most facilities DO test, but unless the inmate is charged with a sexual offense, I’ve never known the outcome to be given to anyone but the inmate (or gaurdian,if a minor).

  1. WHY WHO DID YOU GIVE A DISEASE TOO? THEY TEST FOR EVERYTHING AND GO FROM THERE. IF YA GOT A DISEASE, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF
