What are the dangers of jail breaking an ipod touch and what are the good things?

I’m looking into jail breaking my ipod touch and I just want to know if it is very dangerous and what the danger is. I would also like to know a sample of what you can do if your ipod touch is jail broken.

ok heres the thing, i fully reccomend you do it
make sure your ipod has the 3.1.2 software update
download BlackRa1n
plug in your ipod
open black ra1n
click make it ra1n
when your ipod reboots it will be jailbroken
(Make sure you restore it before you jailbreak it)
open the blackra1n app
install cydia
open cydia
go to manage
tap on sources and add the source

http://cydia.hackulo.us/

after you do that search up Installous
download it
install it
open it and your good to go for getting any app on the apps store

  2. Well, you can brick it, but I dont think that happens very often. You can customize everything. Like get different looks for your apps and change your battery logo, get free apps, and add some tweeks. I used blackra1n.
