Do jails give an Aids test before you are allowed to cook?

I just want to know :) No sweetie Im not going to jail but someone I know has went and he had to cook so I jsut wanted to know
Clearly Im not asking if it is spreaded through food ….if i was that would have been my question, I want to know if the guy had an aids test duh!

I would say probably not since under privacy laws which vary from state to state, they are not allowed to ask if you are HIV positive or not. They do have sanitation rules in place to keep people from getting food-borne illnesses. Thy have to wear gloves, hot food must be kept hot, cold food must be kept cold all so you don’t get sick. Even if a prison cook was HIV positive, they would have to put their bodily fluid (blood, urine etc) into the food for it to effect you, and even then the chance of infection is very slim.

  1. No … they don’t care if you have AIDS whether you are cooking or raping fellow prisoners. Can’t spread HIV through food, by the way.

  2. Why? Are you going to jail? Anyway, I don’t really think so. My mom is a correctional officer, and she says there’s medical centers in the jails for inmates, so they might.
