How can there still exist prison rapes in jails in the 21st Century?

Especially in the U.S.

OK, I get it, there’s a lot of homosexuals in jail but, still.

And, I mean, it’s the worst thing that can ever happen to a man IMHO.

Since when are all prisoners in isolation/solitary confinement?

Jails are overcrowded

Ergo ..

    Do you really think the men go in as homosexuals? The men are animals to begin with, then they get sexually frustrated, and it isn’t as if the men know how to control themselves, which is why they are in there to begin with. The guards do not care to stop it.

  7. cause there are nothing but animals in prisons, prison lifers who know no other way of life. watch those lockup programs on tv and you see nothing but gang members walking around like in some kind of club. they should be kept in cells all day or out on the roads cleaning the roadways or doing some kind of hard labor. i say line them up against a wall and start on one end and start shooting. it would take care of our over populated prison problem

  9. It happens for lots of reasons and it doesn’t really have anything to do with their being homosexuals in prison. Prison, by it’s nature is a predatory society, and rape is about power not sex.

    Prison rape happens for any number of reasons such as paying debts, intimidating a weaker inmate, and in some cases just for the sex. As they say in prison, the sex you want you don’t get and the sex you get you don’t want.

    Additionally, in sex there is no such thing as consensual sex, that includes staff with staff and staff with inmates so the definition is a pretty broad.

    Lastly, don’t listen to any of these other guys in here, I’d be willing to bet they have no experience working in corrections or have ever walked a tier in their life.
