What do the "sausage" and "ham" in jails actually contain for meat?
I have been eating this mystery meat for the last couple of months now and I have yet to determine what kind of animal(s) it is actually made of. We have these sandwiches that we call "meow mix" sandwiches. Not very tasty at all. We tried to feed them to a dog once and he went off and buried them, not interested in the slightest. Just curious…
First off, it’s highly unlikely that your tax dollars are paying for me, considering that I pay for it out of my own pocket every week. Second, I don’t disagree that it should be crappy. Like I stated above, I’m just curious as to what is in it.
Probably the same stuff in spam or hot dogs…it’s economical so it feeds a mass of people like the many incarcerated folks in there. Not sure why the dog wouldn’t eat it though, maybe he was burying it cuz of the scent of bone…that sometimes ends up in those potted meats.
Yippee. My tax dollars at work. Sitting in jail, eating free food, on the Internet and a dog to boot. (you aren’t serious here, right?) Anyway, jail food should suck.
Oh you may "pony up" a few cents a week but believe me you are extremely uneducated if you don’t know how jails are funded. So while you’re in educate yourself. Many in jail earn their degrees, see how I’m paying for that too?

Well, if you’re in jail, than you don’t have the freedom to demand a nutritional list of information. Yes, the food does suck, and it must be unfortunate for you, but if it’s that bad, either don’t eat anything at all, or eat the other things offered to you.
